SoftBank subsidiary Japan Computer Vision Corp's ("JCV") AI Thermography System "SenseThunder-Mini" has been deployed at the "Kansai International Airport," operated by Kansai Airports, with the aim to assist in safe and secure travel for passengers departing from the Kansai area.

JCV's AI Thermography System "SenseThunder-Mini" integrates a thermal imaging camera with their original facial recognition technology. The device enables effective fever screening by accurately detecting one's face and temperature in 0.5 seconds, even with face masks or sunglasses on. As one of the precautionary measures for dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, the AI Thermography device is installed at the security checkpoint.

By enabling passengers to self-check their physical condition easily with "SenseThunder-Mini," Kansai Airport aims to provide a safe and care-free environment for passengers to enjoy a relaxing experience starting from the airport.

With this deployment, JCV hopes to contribute to the recovery of Japanese society and will continue to assist in the promotion of safe and secure building access environments.
