Japan Computer Vision Corp's ("JCV") recently-launched AI Thermography Solution "Integrated Facial Recognition and Thermal Imaging Device" has been deployed at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and the Cardiovascular Hospital of Central Japan.
This proprietary solution combines a thermal imaging camera with JCV's original face recognition access control device and is designed to detect above-normal body temperatures and assist in the promotion of a safe and secure building access environment.
The device can accurately identify partially covered faces with its ability to recognize faces with protective masks from up to 1.5 meters and therefore enables smooth, safer hands-free access. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, has deployed the device at their conference room entrance to perform accurate temperature screening of meeting attendees. The Cardiovascular Hospital of Central Japan is using the system to quickly identify staff and visitors entering the hospital with raised body temperatures.
