JCV established its own R&D unit and has started developing JCV original technologies for applications such as Face Detection , Living Body Detection and Biometric Feature Generation, and Algorithm Matching. JCV recruited Hongche Liu, a Ph.D in computer vision from the University of Maryland and NIST, to lead a team of 30+ Engineers to develop purpose-built computer vision technology for Japan.
JCV is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. It has no buy options to externals. JCV is a fully audited local Japanese entity that is compliant with all legal, corporate and personal governance standards in Japan.
