Japan Computer Vision, a subsidiary of SoftBank Corporation, will begin offering JCV SPARK, an access control service that provides highly accurate facial recognition and authentication management when entering and leaving buildings, offices, factories, housing complexes, concert halls, resorts, hotels, stadiums etc.
JCV SPARK is one of the solutions provided within JCV Cloud, a computer vision cloud platform developed by JCV, and functions as a face recognition access manager.
◾️ Development Background and Objectives
In the entry/exit scenario, 1:N biometric search is required to identify and authenticate a person based on facial features. With sufficiently high accuracy and speed, such biometric authentication processes offer desirable security (no stolen IC card or passcode) and convenience (no need to bring a physical card or reset passcode) over non-biometric authentication systems.
JCV has developed an image recognition service platform in-house, accumulating experience and expertise in providing biometric authentication services to more than 4,000 companies. JCV provides face detection using advanced algorithms and rapid matching in server authentication. In addition, JCV’s own liveness detection technology, which has been certified in accordance with the internationally recognized benchmark ISO/IEC 30107*, blocks spoofing attacks, creating a robust security environment and contributing to the digitization of back-office operations.
